Washington DC Metropolitan Police Memorial & Museum

A memorial fountain was built in 1942.  It was built by the citizens and business community of Washington, D.C. exists currently, but is dilapidated.  These men and women of the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, D.C., have been killed in the line of duty. Additionally, in order to appropriately honor these sacrifices, an effort is well underway to build a more fitting memorial.  The proposed site is also in front of the historic headquarters of the Washington, D.C. This is located at the Metropolitan Police Department on Indiana Avenue. A museum of police history and artifacts will also be established.
