Officer Nussbaum was married and had a notable career as a Washington Policeman, having been commended for bravery many times. He was appointed to the force May 9, 1898. When No. 6 Precinct was organized several years ago, he was assigned to the post of day station clerk, holding the position ever since.

F.L. NUSSBAUM, POLICE OFFICER, DIES AFTER FALL
Funeral Tomorrow for Day Station Clerk of Precinct No. 6.
Private Frank L. Nussbaum, 64, day station clerk at No. 6 Precinct, died yesterday morning at George Washington Hospital, as a result of a fall 10 days ago on ice near the stationhouse.
The police officer received chest injuries in the fall and was taken to the hospital immediately. While the injuries were called the main cause of death, Mr. Nussbaum also suffered from heart trouble, hospital attaches said.
Mr. Nussbaum had a notable career as a Washington Policeman, having been commended for bravery many times. He was appointed to the force May 9, 1898. When No. 6 Precinct was organized several years ago, he was assigned to the post of day station clerk, holding the position ever since.
Inspector L.I.H. Edwards, of the Metropolitan Police, yesterday ordered flags over all police buildings to fly at half-mast, until after the funeral.
Mr. Nussbaum was born December 26, 1872. His home was at 70 T Street, NW.
Mr. Nussbaum is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie R. Nusbaum; two sisters, Mrs. C.H. Stewart and Mrs. O.W. Mansfield; and three brothers, Edgar, Harry L. And John W. Nussbaum. All live in Washington.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Chambers funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
